Lame duck move will mean higher electric bills for Ohio consumers, and put 10,000 Ohio jobs at risk

Energy efficiency business leaders gathered Monday to sound the alarm on a proposal being shopped by several Ohio utilities that would weaken Ohio's annual energy efficiency targets. If sympathetic lawmakers advance such a proposal, Ohio customers should expect to see higher electric bills and the 10,000 Ohioians employed in Ohio's energy efficiency industry could face job losses, as utility dollars invested in efficiency dry up.
