About OAE
Ohio Advanced Energy is a non-profit business-trade association dedicated to the
development of a vibrant advanced and renewable energy economy in Ohio. Our
state has a strong manufacturing base, innovative research and development
universities and facilities, a skilled workforce, abundant availability of
clean and renewable energy resources, and, now, a mandated commitment from our
state government to support the development and implementation of an advanced
and renewable energy economy through year 2025.
OAE is a 501(c)(6) association comprised of members from all areas of the
cleantech and renewable energy industries throughout Ohio and nationally as
well as other interested organizations and public and private entities. In
continuing to carrying out our mission, OAE will:
-
Advocate: OAE continues to represent the legislative and policy
interest of the advanced energy community in the new Senate Bill 221 era. It
remains as important as ever for the advanced energy industry to communicate
its interests to Ohio’s elected representatives where it is creating jobs and
increasing revenues. We are also well prepared and well-equipped to actively
represent the interests of our members before the state’s agencies that will
oversee funding and implementation of the new legislation.
-
Connect: As these emerging industries and markets continue to
take shape in Ohio, OAE is helping to develop synergies and create
relationships between the advanced energy, finance, technical, and consulting
industries as well as government agencies to encourage market creation, promote
supply chain development, and achieve Ohio project investment success.
-
Inform: A critical function of our organization is to keep our
members up-to-date on news, issues, public polices, and opportunities that
arise in Ohio’s rapidly developing advanced energy economy.
-
Educate: Another key to the advanced energy industry’s success in
Ohio hinges on its ability to continue to educate our elected representatives,
business leaders, communities, and citizen-consumers about the environmental
and economic advantages of implementing these technologies. OAE will promote
the interests and needs of Ohio’s advanced energy community in all forums to
harness the power of public opinion.
